Highland Park Public Library To relocate services during building renovations
Post Date:06/22/2023 8:48 AMThe Highland Park Public Library will close to the public on Friday, June 30, in anticipation of its upcoming Construction Bond Grant Renovation Project.
Beginning on Monday July 17, library staff will continue services at HPPL Express, located at 901 Raritan Avenue. The former medical office will be transformed into a suite dedicated to a small, boutique collection for browsing, providing new library cards, hold pick ups, Internet computers and printers for the community.
Reference information, Wi-fi network, Municipal IDs and Notary services will also be provided at HPPL Express. However, the space is small, and patrons are encouraged to make their visits short while accessing services.
Library programming for all ages will continue throughout the borough at the Highland Park Farmers Market, Community Center, churches, synagogues and other locations.
The temporary location will maintain regular hours of operation:
● Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, 10am-9pm
● Wednesdays, Fridays, 10am-5pm
● Saturday, 10am-2pm (After 9/4/2023, 10-5)
● Sunday, 1pm-5pm
The renovation will allow the library to upgrade technology, reconfigure space to optimally
utilize the children’s, teen, reference and circulation areas of the library while also freshening up the building with new carpeting and paint. The renovation is expected to take six-seven months. Return to full list >>
