The Borough of Highland Park in Middlesex County is seeking a Full-time Tax Collector Clerk to support the Borough’s collection of property taxes and municipal utility payments. Approximately, 3597 tax line items. This position reports to the Tax Collector and will assist in various clerical and related operations of the department. Must be experienced in all aspects of tax, water/sewer payments, be detailed oriented, have demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, and be fluid in the use of a calculator. Must possess the ability to interact with the public and co-workers in a professional manner and have a strong customer service focus. Experience in handling large amounts of cash and the use of Edmunds software, Microsoft Excel is essential.  To be considered for appointment to this position, the applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements:
• All applicants must be a resident of the State of New Jersey and authorized to work in the United States. 
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred. 
• Municipal government or banking/financial experience highly preferred.
