Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic with experience in both gasoline and diesel
engines to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle
maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and
equipment, including diesel engines.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs using diagnostic tools
and equipment.
Conduct routine services such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and
fluid checks.
Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and specialized equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
Keep the work area clean and organized and comply with all safety procedures and
company policies.
Assist with preventive maintenance schedules for company vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
2+ years of experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic.
Knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Ability to use diagnostic software and repair tools effectively.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
ASE Certification or equivalent a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Stand, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.
Work in a shop or outdoor environment as needed.
