The Highland Park Police Department is in the process of starting a Senior Assistance Program.  These are free programs that are available to any Senior Citizen who resides in Highland Park.

The purpose of the Senior Citizens Program is to offer peace of mind to our elderly population who live on their own, and still want to feel safe in their homes.

How does the program work?

The program works by completing an application which provides pertinent information to responding Police Officers, Fire Fighters and First aid members.  This information includes a list of emergency contacts and any pertinent medical information that you wish to share with First Responders.  This information will only be shared with medical professionals.

You may provide a key to your residence, which allows you to feel safe that you can keep your home locked, but still have access for emergency personnel.  We also ask for a photo to be provided, a digital copy can be emailed to or you can stop by and have your photo taken at Police Headquarters.

Completed applications, with your key, can be turned into the Highland Park Police Department at any time day or night.
